Is it for you?

Who'll love it
One for people who love relationship stories and people who like stories about real, flawed people. Relationships are put under a microscope, for better or worse.
The mood
Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace
Character-first and patient, at 1 hr 25 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off
  • It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Skip it if you need something light and fast tonight.

Young seamstress Ivana leaves work in the tailor shops in Novi Pazar and accepts an offer to be a waitress in a private cafe in Gusinje, Montenegrin town on the Yugoslav-Albanian border. She meets a waitress with whom she becomes fast friends. Brothers Skeljzen and Becir come to Gusinje from New York for the holidays and meet with the waitresses, starting a love affair. Young men promise the girls marriage and going to America.
