Monday Morning Maybe

Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Great for anyone who remembers how big everything felt at sixteen and spy-story fans. Small moments carry real weight here, the way they do when you're young. Liked Sixteen Candles? This is a good next one. Nobody is quite who they seem.
The mood: Light and funny.
The pace: Zips along, at 1 hr 21 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off: It's in French, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Skip it if you're after something serious tonight.

Benoît, the new kid at school, is bullied by a gang of arrogant boys. Determined not to be pushed around, Benoît organizes a big party, but only three students turn up. What if this bunch of losers was to be the best gang ever?
