Weeknight Watchearly ratingWhy it’s a Weeknight Watch
With almost no lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.
Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below. Is it for you?
- Who'll love it
- Best for people who like the lights on afterwards and anyone who loves a world with magic in it. The scares come from the creaks and shadows as much as the jumps. Sits nicely alongside Fright Night or Bell, Book and Candle. Its magic has rules, and the story plays by them.
- The mood
- Scary, romantic.
- The pace
- Keeps the tension tight, at 1 hr 21 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
- What might put you off
- Skip it if romance makes you roll your eyes.
Love presents many challenges to couples... but none so daunting as the one Justin faces with his girlfriend April. Kidnapped by demons, April's mystery begins to unfold when he finds an ancient book that she has left behind. Using the book, he contacts the demon Lo, ordering it to help him rescue his girl from the fiery pits. But Lo has other plans for his new master... dinner being one of them.
