Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Great for people who'll be humming afterwards and anyone who likes a story with emotional weight. The music is woven into the story, not just laid on top.
The mood: Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace: Lets scenes breathe, at 1 hr 39 min.
What might put you off: It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Made in 1979: an older pace and style.
Skip it if you need something light and fast tonight.

The phenomenon of tourism arrives to a remote village. A married couple sells their property to open a motel, which would be a starting point for their daughter Andjelija's singing career. The local radio-amateur (and Andjelija's boyfriend) helps them to achieve these goals, but Andjelija is more interested in her love life than her career.
