Weeknight Watchearly rating

Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With a box office loss and little lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
A natural pick for anyone who's ever wondered how they'd survive and fans of end-of-the-world stories. The tension comes from simply getting through the next day. Fans of Mad Max 2 or The Terminator should feel right at home. It builds a whole broken world and makes you live in it.
The mood
Scary, mind-bending.
The pace
Keeps the tension tight, at 1 hr 33 min.
What might put you off
  • Rated R: expect violence.
  • Skip it if you like your stories firmly grounded in the real world.

In the near future, after an unspecified holocaust, survivors are herded into prison camps. There, they are hunted for sport by the leaders of the camp. Paul, one of the newest prisoners, is determined not to go down as quietly as the others.
