Weeknight Watchearly ratingWhy it’s a Weeknight Watch
With almost no lasting buzz and mixed reviews, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.
Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below. Is it for you?
- Who'll love it
- Tailor-made for anyone who likes watching someone settle a score and fans of a good courtroom showdown. A revenge story, so expect the pressure to build to a reckoning. Sits nicely alongside Avengement. The best scenes are battles fought with words.
- The mood
- Gritty.
- The pace
- Lean, with little time wasted, at 1 hr 44 min.
- What might put you off
- It's in Italian, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
- Made in 1976: an older pace and style.
- Skip it if you like your heroes clean-cut.
Nico Palmieri is a police inspector who battles a criminal gang terrorizing a sleepy Italian town, extorting cash from the local merchants. With the threat of violence, no one dares to act, except for a restaurant owner who is forced by Palmieri to tell the truth.
