Weeknight Watchearly ratingWhy it’s a Weeknight Watch
With soft box office and little lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.
Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below. Is it for you?
- Who'll love it
- Made for fans of swords, quests and kingdoms and history and war-film fans. A proper quest, with a world big enough to get lost in. A good follow-up to Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender. It puts you in the middle of the fighting, and doesn't let you forget the cost.
- The mood
- Feel-good.
- The pace
- Bright and bouncy, at 1 hr 18 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
- What might put you off
- No age rating on record, so check it first for young kids.
- It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
- Made in 1973: an older pace and style.
- Skip it if you can't get past animation (your loss).
A traditional Hungarian poetic fairytale that describes the epic adventures of a young shepherd through love, war, magic and death.
