Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Tailor-made for people who'll be humming afterwards and anyone after some adrenaline. The music is woven into the story, not just laid on top. Sits nicely alongside The Madness of King George.
The mood
Exciting.
The pace
Gives its people room to develop, at 1 hr 40 min.
What might put you off
  • It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Not for anyone who finds explosions tiring.

Veeram is based on the ballads of North Malabar and narrates the tale of the brave and ambitious Kalarippayattu warrior, Chandu, whose story resembles that of William Shakespeare's Macbeth.
