Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
If you count yourself among horror fans and anyone who likes a world with its own rules, this one's for you. Best watched with the lights down and someone to grab. A good follow-up to Ginger Snaps.
The mood
Scary.
The pace
Keeps the tension tight, at 15 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off
  • It's in Russian, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Skip it if you scare easily or watch alone at night.

Set one evening in present-day Moscow, 16-year-old Pyotr is baited by an ultra-nationalist group known for their violent abductions and attacks bolstered by Russia's LGBT Propaganda Law, but Pyotr has a dangerous secret.
