Aimed squarely at people who like stories that don't look away and crime fans. It deals with hard things honestly. Liked Casino or Touch of Evil? This is a good next one.

Dark and gritty.
The pace
Character-first and patient, at 1 hr 11 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
What might put you off

  • Not for anyone who finds explosions tiring.

A young man tries to get away from his disfunctional family by working with his friend, a rich boy who lives in excess and sleaze, but he will soon realize how reckless his friend is and that he is submerged in a life of crime, vice and deadly bets.
