Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Aimed squarely at martial arts fans and action fans. The fight choreography is a big part of the appeal. Sits nicely alongside Fist of Legend or John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum.
The mood
Exciting.
The pace
Fast-moving, at 1 hr 30 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
What might put you off
  • It's in Chinese, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Not for anyone who finds explosions tiring.

Due to a conspiracy, the wealthy So Chan loses everything but is saved by the Beggars' Sect. He learns the long lost martial art - Drunken Fist, to defeat the person who framed him.
