Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
If you count yourself among people who can't resist a good whodunit and anyone who likes watching an argument won, this one's for you. The investigation drives everything, one lead at a time. Liked Michael Clayton or Obsession? This is a good next one. The best scenes are battles fought with words.
The mood
Tense, dark and gritty.
The pace
Character-first and patient, at 2 hr 5 min. The story isn't told in order, so keep your phone down.
What might put you off
  • It's in Korean, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Skip it if you like your heroes clean-cut.

A father goes all out to clear his daughter from any wrong doing in the murder of his fiancée. When all evidence points to her, he takes matters into to his own hands to save his daughter and outwit the judiciary system.
