Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
One for fans of a good con and western fans. Half the pleasure is trying to spot the trick before the reveal. Liked The Ballad of Buster Scruggs or The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford? This is a good next one.
The mood
Easygoing.
The pace
Well paced, at 55 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off
Made in 1948: an older pace and style.

Charles Starrett returns as The Durango Kid in Columbia's El Dorado Pass. It all begins when Durango, in his everyday guise of Steve Clanton, is falsely accused of robbing a stagecoach. The genuine criminal is not only a thief but a coin collector, searching for a valuable specimen by staging holdups.
