Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Aimed squarely at anyone who likes knowing it really happened and people who like their stories with a little danger. Based on real events, so expect to go down a research rabbit hole afterwards. Fans of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer should feel right at home. A trip back to the 1990s.
The mood
Scary, dark and gritty.
The pace
Tense from early on, at 2 hr 1 min.
What might put you off
  • It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Skip it if you like your heroes clean-cut.

A gruesome look into the infamous and seemingly neverending 1991 Vizconde murder case in the Philippines where a woman, her teen daughter, and a 6-year-old were all viciously stabbed to death while the husband was away in America on business.
