Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
A natural pick for history and war-film fans and anyone who loves a strong drama. It puts you in the middle of the fighting, and doesn't let you forget the cost. Fans of 1917 or The Guns of Navarone should feel right at home.
The mood
Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace
Quiet, then quietly devastating, at 1 hr 10 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off
  • Made in 1922: an older pace and style.
  • Skip it if you need something light and fast tonight.

Two men who bear a striking resemblance to each befriend each other while stationed in France during WWI. One is fatally fatally wounded and requests makes a dying request to his doppelganger to take on his identity.
