Weeknight Watchearly rating

Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With a lukewarm 48% audience score and little lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Aimed squarely at anyone who likes yelling at characters not to go upstairs and food lovers. Classic slasher set-up: count who's left standing. Liked Grindhouse or The Wrath of Becky? This is a good next one. Don't watch it hungry.
The mood
Scary and gory.
The pace
Tense from early on, at 1 hr 22 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off
  • Rated R: expect violence.
  • Skip it if you scare easily or watch alone at night.

A high-school student must save townspeople from a murderous clown who works at a fast-food place.
