Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
A natural pick for anyone who likes comedy with a point and anyone looking to switch off and smile. The jokes have targets, and it hits most of them. Same wavelength as Code 3 or Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
The mood
Provocative satire that goes after everyone.
The pace
Lets scenes breathe, at 1 hr 49 min.
What might put you off
  • It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Skip it if you're after something serious tonight.

It tells the story of Ramadhan and Monita, two people with opposite personalities who become entangled in a push-and-pull romance, presented with clever humor and social satire.
