Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: If you count yourself among anyone who likes watching someone settle a score and crime fans, this one's for you. A revenge story, so expect the pressure to build to a reckoning.
The mood: Scary, gritty.
The pace: Builds dread steadily, at 1 hr 17 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off: Rated R: meant for adults.
Skip it if you like your heroes clean-cut.

Prosperous professional couple Mike and Christine are settling in for a standard evening of wine, TV and low-level marital hostility when a ring on their doorbell changes everything. Turns out their son Sebastian is in a little trouble with some local boys, who are quite prepared to camp out and wait for him to get home ... the resulting culture-clash chamber drama is raw, revealing and nerve-splittingly tense.
