Monday Morning Maybeearly ratingWhy it’s a Monday Morning Maybe
With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.
Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below. Is it for you?
- Who'll love it
- One for people who like the journey more than the destination and anyone who wants something that moves them. It's a road trip, so the detours matter as much as the destination. Shelve it next to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1. It's about loss, handled with care rather than melodrama.
- The mood
- Funny with heart, romantic.
- The pace
- Lets scenes breathe, at 1 hr 51 min.
- What might put you off
- It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
- Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.
A girl named Mika decides to go on a road trip to look for aliens. During her trip, she accidentally bumps into Caloy whom she gives a free ride to until he reaches his destination. Mika then finds out that Caloy has cancer but despite it, he has learned to accept his fate. Both embark on a journey filled with adventures and misadventures not knowing they would fall in love with each other along the way.
