Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Right up the alley of anyone who remembers how big everything felt at sixteen and vampire fans. It gets the awkwardness and the high stakes of being young. If you loved Descendants or Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 2, start here. Vampire lore, given its own spin.
The mood
Warm and romantic.
The pace
Moves along nicely, at 1 hr 26 min. Done before bedtime.
What might put you off
Skip it if you like your stories firmly grounded in the real world.

A 16-year old vampire discovers she has the ability to withstand sunlight. Sensing an opportunity to round up new victims, her family enrolls her in high school, where her who-cares attitude quickly makes her the coolest girl around.
