Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
If you count yourself among fans of close encounters and people who like to watch through their fingers, this one's for you. The aliens are the hook, but the human reactions are the story. Fans of Independence Day or E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial should feel right at home.
The mood
Scary.
The pace
Keeps the tension tight, at 1 hr 30 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
What might put you off
  • It's in Spanish, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Made in 1976: an older pace and style.
  • Not one for anyone who hates jump scares.

Some aliens stalk and kidnap humans to take their eyes off and send them to their planet, the same Blue Demon falls into the trap, trying to rescue his brother.
