Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
If you count yourself among fans of a well-timed joke, this one's for you. Steeped in the 1980s, from the music to the hair.
The mood
Light and funny.
The pace
Quick and easy-going, at 1 hr 22 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off
  • It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Not the pick if you want something heavy or meaningful.

The 2 protagonists, Trifon and his assistant, Vassilakis work as plumbers, try to survive with dignity, but instead they destroy everything they undertake to repair, while demonstrating brazen behavior to their clients.
