Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: One for anyone who likes a story with emotional weight. Best on a quiet night when you're in the mood to feel something.
The mood: Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace: Quiet, then quietly devastating, at 1 hr 42 min.
What might put you off: It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Skip it if you need something light and fast tonight.

After her husband's death in Germany, an attractive young widow leaves his native village in Herzegovina to work abroad. There she starts an affair with an Italian worker that proves to be unsuccessful, yet she gets pregnant. She does an abortion, which is followed by another blow - her godfather Luka steals her hard-earned money.
