- Who'll love it
- Great for people who still love a bit of magic and anyone who knows cartoons aren't just for kids. Works for the whole couch, from little ones up. Liked Waking Life? This is a good next one.
- The mood
- Feel-good.
- The pace
- Paced for all ages, at 15 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
- What might put you off
- No age rating on record, so check it first for young kids.
- Made in 1921: an older pace and style.
- Skip it if you can't get past animation (your loss).
The film is a delightful tale of a spoiled wedding between child's toys which shows Starewicz's typical style of making amusing films appropriate for children without much sentimentality. As in many of his other films, his daughter Nina plays the role of the child.
