Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With just 17% on Rotten Tomatoes and little lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Great for anyone in the mood for a love story and fans of a well-timed joke. One to watch when you can give it your full attention. A good follow-up to Dil To Pagal Hai or Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
The mood
Funny with heart, romantic.
The pace
Quiet, then quietly devastating, at 2 hr.
What might put you off
  • It's in Hindi, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.

Aaliya is not ready for commitment even after a decade-long friendship with Abhay. She remains indifferent when he follows her to Australia, but is finally shaken when he announces his marriage.
