Sunday Safe Betearly ratingWhy it’s a Sunday Safe Bet
It was a box office smash, though it had almost no lasting buzz. A safe bet when you want something reliable.
Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below. Is it for you?
- Who'll love it
- A natural pick for people who love a story where everyone knows everyone and anyone who loves a world with magic in it. The small-town setting is half the character. A good follow-up to Sleepy Hollow or October Sky. Its magic has rules, and the story plays by them.
- The mood
- Feel-good.
- The pace
- Paced for all ages, at 48 min. Done before bedtime.
- What might put you off
- No age rating on record, so check it first for young kids.
- Probably not for a grown-ups-only night in.
A musical holiday special aired on CBS.
