Weeknight Watch

Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With almost no lasting buzz and middling reviews (48% on Rotten Tomatoes), it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Best for anyone who believes we're not alone and sci-fi fans. The aliens are the hook, but the human reactions are the story. Shelve it next to They Live or The Man Who Fell to Earth.
The mood: Exciting.
The pace: Takes its time with its characters, at 1 hr 59 min.
What might put you off: Rated R: meant for adults.
Skip it if you prefer quiet, talky stories.

Town residents must band together after a devastating alien invasion. As they struggle to survive, they realize they must stay one step ahead of their attackers and work together for a chance to strike back.
