Monday Morning Maybeearly ratingWhy it’s a Monday Morning Maybe
With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.
Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below. Is it for you?
- Who'll love it
- Great for fans of thinking-person's sci-fi and spy-story fans. Underneath the tech, it's asking what being human really means. Sits nicely alongside A Place in the Sun or Match Point. Nobody is quite who they seem.
- The mood
- Tense and unsettling, warm and romantic.
- The pace
- Lets scenes breathe, at 1 hr 14 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
- What might put you off
- It's in Chinese, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
- Skip it if you need something light and fast tonight.
When love fades, Fun turns to an AI for comfort. But Ling isn't just code—he wants to take Wen’s place, permanently.
