Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
A natural pick for people who get choked up at a comeback and history and war-film fans. You don't need to know the game to feel the big moments. Liked Forrest Gump or Apocalypse Now? This is a good next one. It puts you in the middle of the fighting, and doesn't let you forget the cost.
The mood
Warm and romantic.
The pace
Takes its time with its characters, at 1 hr 34 min.
What might put you off
Skip it if you need something light and fast tonight.

A young American hockey player, studying in Canada on a hockey scholarship, falls in love while risking his scholarship and the prospect of the Vietnam war draft.
