With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.
Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below. Is it for you?
- Who'll love it
- Aimed squarely at fans of prison dramas and anyone drawn to the darker side of the street. The walls close in, and so does the tension. A good follow-up to Midnight Express or Bad Boys for Life.
- The mood
- Dark and gritty.
- The pace
- Gives its people room to develop, at 1 hr 11 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
- What might put you off
- Rated R: expect drug use.
- Skip it if you like your heroes clean-cut.
Two show-business women leave Los Angeles for Las Vegas, but phoney state troopers abduct them in the desert and they are taken to a laboratory/prison. Here, males come to experience sexual fantasies, which it is the job of the two girls and other attractive captives to flesh out. The captors force an hypnotic drug upon them to aid their performances. Then a country hitchhiker they met earlier at a gas station decides to rescue the girls.
