Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With almost no lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Tailor-made for superhero fans and anyone who likes wide open spaces and slow-burning standoffs. Comic-book roots, so expect big stakes and bigger set pieces. Sits nicely alongside News of the World. Dust, horses and a showdown waiting to happen.
The mood: Exciting.
The pace: Well paced, at 1 hr 44 min.
What might put you off: It's in Italian, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Skip it if you like your stories firmly grounded in the real world.

Based on the adventures of the hero Tex from the comic strip by Bonelli. An interesting spaghetti-western/fantasy movie that blends magic and mythology with six-guns and stagecoaches.
