Weeknight Watchearly rating

Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Best for people who root for the clever crook and anyone fascinated by the criminal underworld. The fun is in the planning, the double-crosses and the moment it all goes sideways. Liked The Usual Suspects or The Town? This is a good next one. A look inside a world of loyalty, money and betrayal.
The mood: Dark and gritty.
The pace: Character-first and patient, at 1 hr 39 min.
What might put you off: Rated R: expect drug use.
Skip it if you like your heroes clean-cut.

A group of small time criminals in 1975 attempt to pull off the biggest heist in American history; stealing over $30 million from the Mafia in the smallest state in the union, Rhode Island.
