Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Best for anyone nostalgic for their awkward years and anyone who likes a story with emotional weight. Small moments carry real weight here, the way they do when you're young.
The mood
Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace
Character-first and patient, at 20 min. Done before bedtime.
What might put you off
  • It's in German, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Skip it if you need something light and fast tonight.

Paul is 16 years old and earns his pocket money working the streets. But there is something special about Paul. He has made a pact with some ants, which questions the strict patterns of our reality.
