Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Made for people who can't resist a good whodunit and anyone drawn to the darker side of the street. It plays fair with the clues, so you can play along. Liked Dial M for Murder? This is a good next one.
The mood
Tense, gritty.
The pace
Lean, with little time wasted, at 1 hr 25 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
What might put you off
  • It's in Swedish, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Skip it if you like your heroes clean-cut.

Criminal detective Roland Hassel and his colleague Bolinder is investigating a criminal gang involved in the meat packing business. Bolinder is murdered in front of Hassel and the criminals are out to kill Hassel, the only witness.
