Great for anyone looking to switch off and smile and people who like stories about real, flawed people. Low effort, high reward: just press play. Shelve it next to Code 3.
The mood
Funny with heart.
The pace
Quiet, then quietly devastating, at 1 hr 50 min.
What might put you off
  • It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Made in 1954: an older pace and style.
  • Skip it if you're after something serious tonight.

Ismail wants to grab his wife's Turkish money, claiming that he has the children of a former wife who died, and that he can not spend on them, but Ismail does not realize that this little lie has left him in an endless series of lies, Of each lie with a greater lie, and every time the wife deals with him in good faith.
