Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With almost no lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Made for anyone who believes we're not alone and horror fans. The aliens are the hook, but the human reactions are the story. Fans of Invasion of the Body Snatchers or The Thing should feel right at home.
The mood
Scary.
The pace
Keeps the tension tight, at 1 hr 20 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
What might put you off
  • Made in 1967: an older pace and style.
  • Skip it if you scare easily or watch alone at night.

A teenager and his girlfriend must save the world from "eye" aliens after their attempts to convince authorities of an invasion fall on deaf ears.
