Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Made for anyone who remembers how big everything felt at sixteen and people who like the journey more than the destination. It gets the awkwardness and the high stakes of being young. Shelve it next to National Lampoon's Vacation or Chef. It's a road trip, so the detours matter as much as the destination.
The mood
Light and funny, feel-good.
The pace
Bright and bouncy, at 1 hr 26 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
What might put you off
  • Rated PG. Worth a look first if you have very young kids.
  • Not the pick if you want something heavy or meaningful.

Unforeseen obstacles stand in the way of a family planning to take a road trip in an RV.
