Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
One for anyone who remembers how big everything felt at sixteen and people who love a good family story. It gets the awkwardness and the high stakes of being young. Fans of The Fabelmans should feel right at home. Anyone with siblings or parents will recognize something here.
The mood
Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace
Lets scenes breathe, at 18 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
What might put you off
  • It's in Dutch, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.

Coming of age film about Sven, a boy who feels trapped in his own family which only consists of duos. His brother Alex in return tries to keep Sven by his side through the same methods his parents use.
