Monday Morning Maybeearly ratingWhy it’s a Monday Morning Maybe
With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.
Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below. Is it for you?
- Who'll love it
- Right up the alley of anime fans and comic book readers. Comic-book roots, so expect big stakes and bigger set pieces. Sits nicely alongside My Little Pony: A New Generation or Shrek. The scale is huge: humanity is very much the underdog.
- The mood
- Feel-good.
- The pace
- Bright and bouncy, at 1 hr. Short enough for a weeknight.
- What might put you off
- No age rating on record, so check it first for young kids.
- It's in Japanese, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
- Skip it if you want something with an edge.
Hero Land is a world where you can meet the heroes and heroines you have been waiting for, created by the inventor girl "Ururu". Shimajiro and his friends were overexcited, but a bad robot appeared there and Hero Land was in big danger. Can Shimajiro and his friends work together to help?
