Weeknight Watchearly rating

Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With soft box office and little lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for anyone who remembers how big everything felt at sixteen and people who like their stories with a little heart-flutter. It gets the awkwardness and the high stakes of being young. Liked West Side Story? This is a good next one.
The mood: Warm and romantic.
The pace: Unhurried and epic, at 3 hr.
What might put you off: It's long: 3 hr.
It's in Tamil, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.

A young man and a woman fall in love with each other. But soon her father gets to know about their affair and goes to extremes to separate the couple.
