Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: If you count yourself among people who'll be looking things up afterwards and book lovers, this one's for you. Based on real events, so expect to go down a research rabbit hole afterwards. Adapted from a book, so readers can compare notes.
The mood: Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace: Takes its time with its characters, at 1 hr 42 min.
What might put you off: It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Skip it if you need something light and fast tonight.

Inspired by the book of Genesis, this film tells the power struggle between two families: a clan of herders led by Jacob and another clan of hunters fronted by his brother Esau. Caught in the crossfire is their cousin, Hamor and his tribe of farmers.
