Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Best for fans of a well-timed joke and anyone who likes a story with emotional weight. Easy company after a long day. Sits nicely alongside Game Change.
The mood
Funny with heart.
The pace
Takes its time with its characters, at 1 hr 33 min.
What might put you off
  • It's in German, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Made in 1975: an older pace and style.
  • Not the pick if you want something heavy or meaningful.

Sister Agnes helps in all situations and does not only make friends. She has just fallen out with the new mayor. The consequences leave an entire community upside down.
