Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Best for anime fans and fans of swords, quests and kingdoms. It's anime, with all the big emotions and big action that comes with it. If you loved Dragonslayer, start here. A proper quest, with a world big enough to get lost in.
The mood
Feel-good.
The pace
Paced for all ages, at 52 min. Done before bedtime.
What might put you off
  • No age rating on record, so check it first for young kids.
  • It's in Japanese, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Skip it if you can't get past animation (your loss).

Nezumi Monogatari is the story of two mice called George and Gerald who embark on a journey together with three friends to find the “Dragon of Light”.
