Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Who'll love it: Made for anyone who likes watching someone settle a score and anyone who's already planned their apocalypse hideout. A revenge story, so expect the pressure to build to a reckoning. Liked Grindhouse? This is a good next one. The undead are the backdrop; how people treat each other is the real story.
The mood: Scary.
The pace: Keeps the tension tight, at 1 hr 29 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off: It's in Spanish, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Made in 1973: an older pace and style.
Not one for anyone who hates jump scares.

An Indian mystic uses magical chants to raise women from the dead, then sends them out to perform revenge killings for him.
