Why it’s a Weeknight Watch
With almost no lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.
Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below. Is it for you?
- Who'll love it
- Made for anyone who's ever talked to their pet and people who need a good giggle. An animal steals a fair few scenes.
- The mood
- Light and funny, feel-good.
- The pace
- Lively and easy to follow, at 8 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
- What might put you off
- Made in 1940: an older pace and style.
- Skip it if you can't get past animation (your loss).
Donald is a riveter who has trouble with the riveting gun, heights, and the foreman, Pete. Pete chases him throughout the construction site, causing the building to collapse. Donald runs away while Pete is trapped in cement, holding a water hose in the pose of a statue.
