With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.
Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below. Is it for you?
- Who'll love it
- Great for anyone who remembers how big everything felt at sixteen and people who like the lights on afterwards. Small moments carry real weight here, the way they do when you're young. Sits nicely alongside Heathers or Bottoms. The scares come from the creaks and shadows as much as the jumps.
- The mood
- Light and funny.
- The pace
- Zips along, at 1 hr 30 min. Done before bedtime.
- What might put you off
- Rated R: expect sex.
- Skip it if you're after something serious tonight.
The only thing keeping Billy Batson from the girl of his dreams is one little condom—or rather the lack of one. Lucky Billy finds one at an all-night roadhouse—but speeding back to his girl, he is killed in a head-on collision. Now invisible, Billy must find his sweetheart and rekindle her fire.
