Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
One for anyone who likes a story with a soundtrack worth keeping and anyone in the mood for a love story. The music is woven into the story, not just laid on top. Same wavelength as Victor/Victoria or Singin' in the Rain. Soaked in 1970s atmosphere.
The mood
Light and funny, romantic.
The pace
Zips along, at 1 hr 37 min.
What might put you off
  • It's in Portuguese, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Skip it if you're after something serious tonight.
