Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for anyone who loves a strong drama. If you loved Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid or Pale Rider, start here. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
The mood: Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace: Takes its time with its characters, at 1 hr 39 min.
What might put you off: Audiences were cooler on it than critics.

A widowed farmer and his son warily take in a mysterious, injured man with a satchel of cash. When a posse of men claiming to be the law come for the money, the farmer must decide who to trust. Defending a siege of his homestead, the farmer reveals a talent for gun-slinging that surprises everyone calling his true identity into question.
