Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Aimed squarely at anyone who loves watching a plan come together and people who like the journey more than the destination. Half the pleasure is trying to spot the trick before the reveal. Fans of Sleuth should feel right at home. It's a road trip, so the detours matter as much as the destination.
The mood
Tense, dark and gritty.
The pace
Takes its time with its characters, at 1 hr 33 min.
What might put you off
  • Rated R: expect violence.
  • Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.

After a woman discovers her husband cheating on her, she decides to go on a road trip with her husband's mistress. While driving the two women pick up a hitchhiker, who may be on the run from the cops. With the police on their tail, the women inadvertently fall in with the criminal.
