Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
One for anyone who enjoys a story that folds back on itself and anyone who likes secrets inside secrets. Pay attention early: the time-bending pays off later. If you loved Star Trek or Spectral, start here. Nobody is quite who they seem.
The mood
Scary, mind-bending.
The pace
Builds dread steadily, at 57 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off
Not for anyone who finds explosions tiring.

In a top-secret UNIT warehouse Dr Sally Arnold is studying a Nestene energy unit with little success. Until she subjects it to cosmic signals that activate it and it awakens several dormant Autons stored in the facility.
